This project includes three – 5-story post-tensioned, flat plate, cast-in-place concrete buildings housing 350 hotel rooms. Three other separate buildings include a 5,000 square foot lobby constructed with exposed glu-lam trusses, a 12,000 square foot, two level, structural steel kitchen and restaurant and 47,000 square foot concrete and steel building housing meeting spaces and a ballroom. The foundations for this project are prestressed precast concrete piles. Total project square footage is 291,000 square feet. The project is seeking LEED Gold and Sites Platinum. The project is also the pilot project for Fortified Commercial Construction in hurricane prone regions and achieved Fortified Commercial Silver certification.
