A new, 110,000 square foot, 5 story building housing the UAB College of Arts and Sciences. The building is constructed with cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The floor framing system is wide module concrete joists and post-tensioned concrete girders. The foundation system is drilled piers bearing on rock. This project, when certified, will be the first LEED certified building on UAB’s campus.
