Jason Partain, P.E.

ABOUT

Mr. Partain joined MBA Engineers, Inc. in February 2016 and has experience in structural engineering design, forensics, and condition assessments for single and multi-family residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial structures. His experience includes projects located in various regions of the United States with a wide variety of site-specific load demands (e.g. high wind, high seismic). Mr. Partain’s structural experience including designing steel, concrete, masonry, cold formed steel buildings but his focus is wood framed buildings. His design of the Habiframe, Inc. wood-framed residential tornado storm shelter was awarded the US Wood Design Awards Juror’s Choice Award in 2014. He also served as the Structural Engineer of Record for the first CLT project (Jones Valley Teaching Farm) located in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Partain has also been active in engineering standards work, primarily related to wood design, and has published articles in both regional and national publications.
